Making English language practice, play.
The Boom Room Method
*Beta Version. Please excuse the mess.
One actor.
One facilitator.
One rule:
Be Strong And Wrong
From spontaneous interactions, absurdity, to the most challenging personalities, our goal is to help you explore who you are when the pressure is on in English.
If you’re thinking, you’re not doing.
Life isn’t a set of memorized grammar rules. Life is interacting with real people: messy, complex, unexpected, and nuanced.
Through our research and testing, we’ve discovered the key to presence is to be strong and wrong.
No one will remember if you said something correctly or not. What they’ll remember, is how you showed up.
And that makes all the difference.
The Boom Room Session Flow
Each Boom Room Session is structured on the outside, and free flowing on the inside:
We begin with The Rise. A guided and relaxed space that allows everyone to get loose, activate the body, and open up for what’s to come.
The Experience is not about doing things perfectly, but discovering something new about your capacity. Each scenario with the actor lasts 10-15 minutes, involves each participant in an active way multiple times, and leads to places you won’t expect. No moment will ever be the same.
The Landing is the final aspect of the Session. Here we level our energies, talk about the moments that stuck out, and share a final reflection that locks in what we experienced so we can use it in the real world.
You’ll never know what’s coming next. And that’s exactly why it works.
A Boom Room Session might start with a character that has lost his keys and needs you to help—then he asks for a complicated favor…
Or you could meet someone who is standoffish—until you get to know her better…
Starting with simpler interactions, each scenario takes twists and turns and shifts into different opportunities for you to actively practice responding in English.

Boom Room Facilitator and Actor Training
Demand for the Boom Room Method is growing around the world. Learn how to build your own Boom Room and run the session that’s completely changing language confidence acquisition.
The Science of The Boom Room Method
Our method is grounded in psychology and neuroscience,
designed to activate growth at both cognitive and emotional levels.
The Flow State Advantage
The most effective learning happens in a flow state, where you're fully absorbed without fear.
Our method creates this by balancing challenge and safety: your mind operates at peak capacity, and you learn at an accelerated rate.
The feeling of "buzzing" energy after a Session is the feeling of progress.
Social & Emotional Intelligence
Language is social and practical.
Our live simulations develop crucial skills beyond vocabulary, rooted in situated learning.
By interacting with an actor, you develop the social and emotional intelligence to read body language and respond to nuance.
You are not just learning a language; you are developing the human skills to truly connect.
Embodied Cognition
Embodied cognition is the principle that physical action deepens learning.
When you act out conversations, your brain forms new neural pathways through neuroplasticity.
This builds a form of muscle memory for language, making your fluent responses feel natural and effortless.

We Created The Method We Wish We’d Had When We Moved To A New Country.
When we sold everything and moved our little family to Italy, we could use the language, but we struggled to authentically express ourselves during moments of stress, fear, or overwhelm.
We needed a consequence-free zone to play, take risks, make mistakes, and meet ourselves in this new language.
We needed The Boom Room.
So we built it.
By blending practical and immersive learning with high-impact communication training, The Boom Room Method is designed to not only help you express yourself fully, but rewire how you show up in English.
You’ve got questions?
Good, that means you’re a curious person.
-
90 minutes.
The total Session includes dedicated time for The Rise and for The Landing, with The Experience itself lasting about an hour in between.
-
Working alongside other people exposes you to how others deal with situations you also encounter.
You don’t need to be in the hot seat the whole time to acess key takeaways. Plus, the group energy is what makes the learning so fun.
-
There’s no homework, but The Experience is a fast-paced pocket of time.
The more relaxed you let yourself be from the beginning, the better. It’s all about being as open as possible.
-
We aim to have at least 3 different actors throughout your 6-session package.
Meeting new actors helps you adapt and flow with different personalities. But seeing the same actor again can help you practice accessing more of your own personality.
-
We always aim to find a facilitator you like and want to stick with. Each facilitator brings a different energy to a session, and we’ll work to find the right facilitator for you.
-
It means you show up as your unapologetic self in every moment. No one will care if you don’t say things perfectly, but everyone will care about how your presence makes them feel.
It means getting it wrong on purpose because making mistakes is where the true growth is.
-
Right now, we’re offering online sessions.
But we are hard at work training facilitators for in-person Experiences.
-
You’ll have 6 sessions that are held once a week. So a month and a half in total.
-
While The Method is built for B1 and up, the real question is—do you feel comfortable taking a risk in English? If you are, then you’re at the right level for The Boom Room Experience.
-
Once you book a 6-session package, we’ll send you the in-depth discovery quiz so our facilitators can get to know you, and prepare encounters that will resonate.
-
The first step is to sign up for a 6-session package. From there we’ll send you the discovery quiz, an intro with your facilitator, and some resources to prepare you for your first Experience.
-
In this setting, you’ll get to watch participants who have different strategies and impulses. No matter your level, there is something to gain from being an active and ready witness.
